These Terms govern use of PackNavi, a professional software service for collecting and structuring packaging requirements. PackNavi is intended primarily for business and professional users.

1. Scope and service
PackNavi guides users through a rule-based packaging assessment, stores products and packaging scenarios, structures submitted requirements and produces qualification or RFQ-related documents from the information available in the service.
The concrete functions available are those presented in the application at the time of use. References to possible future supplier, sharing or communication workflows do not promise that such functions are currently available.
2. Anonymous use, accounts and access
Where offered, a user may start with an anonymous browser-linked session. Saving an email address can associate current work with a profile. Access to existing profile data and stored products requires passwordless verification by a time-limited one-time code, except for an expressly configured local development environment.
Users are responsible for controlling access to the verified email account and for promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access. Organization users may only act within the authority granted to them by their organization.
3. Information supplied by users
Users are responsible for the accuracy, currency, completeness and lawful submission of product, organization, logistics and packaging information. PackNavi can identify gaps or inconsistencies but cannot independently verify every value, drawing, image, requirement or statement.
Users must review important data and generated documents before relying on them or sending them to a supplier.
4. Qualification documents and RFQs
Documents generated by PackNavi are derived from user-supplied data and deterministic system rules. They are working and procurement documents, not an engineering approval, product certification, regulatory certification, supplier approval or guarantee that a packaging solution is suitable.
Unknown, skipped or unresolved items can affect document quality and must be clarified where material. Final packaging selection, testing, validation, procurement and release decisions remain the user’s responsibility.
5. Packaging and engineering information
Packaging suitability depends on the product, transport and storage conditions, handling, intended market, production process, regulations and supplier capabilities. PackNavi provides information and decision support; it does not replace product-specific engineering, risk assessment, testing, validation or specialist advice where these are required.
6. Regulations and compliance
PackNavi may surface information about regulations, standards and packaging requirements for orientation. Such information can change and its relevance depends on jurisdiction, product, packaging, business role, transport mode and intended use.
PackNavi does not provide legal advice or certify compliance. Completing the assessment does not establish compliance with PPWR, dangerous-goods rules, FDA or BIS requirements, or ISO, ASTM, ISTA, IEC, ANSI, GB or other standards. Users must determine and verify current applicable requirements and obtain qualified legal, regulatory, compliance or technical advice where appropriate.
7. Standards and official documents
References or summaries do not reproduce or replace an official standard, regulation, guidance document or test method. Users should obtain the current authoritative text from the relevant issuing organization and observe licensing restrictions.
8. Supplier information and future workflows
If PackNavi later displays supplier information or supports RFQ distribution, it will not guarantee supplier availability, performance, quotations, pricing, technical suitability or contractual performance unless expressly agreed in writing. Contracts with suppliers remain between the relevant parties.
9. Intellectual property and user content
PackNavi software, branding and proprietary service content remain protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Subject to mandatory rights, users receive only the right needed to use the service as provided.
Users retain their rights in uploaded product information, images and documents. They grant the operator the limited permission required to store, process, reproduce in generated documents and otherwise handle that content solely to provide, secure and maintain the requested service. Users must have the rights and authorization necessary to provide the content.
10. Confidential information
Product data, drawings and images may contain trade secrets. Users should upload only information they are authorized to provide and should use the available confidentiality option when an image must be withheld. PackNavi applies reasonable safeguards but cannot promise absolute confidentiality or security. Users should assess whether particularly sensitive information is appropriate for the service.
11. Availability and changes
The service may be maintained, updated, changed or temporarily interrupted. Uninterrupted, error-free or permanently unchanged availability is not guaranteed. Material changes to these Terms will be reflected in the version and effective-date information and communicated where legally required.
12. Liability
Liability is unlimited for intent and gross negligence, culpable injury to life, body or health, liability under the German Product Liability Act, guarantees expressly given, fraudulent concealment and any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
For slight negligence, liability is limited to breaches of essential contractual obligations whose fulfilment makes proper performance possible and on which the user may regularly rely. In those cases liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. Subject to mandatory law, liability is otherwise excluded for slight negligence. These limitations also apply for legal representatives and vicarious agents.
Users should maintain reasonable copies of important submitted information. Nothing in these Terms restricts mandatory statutory rights or reverses a legally prescribed burden of proof.
13. Duration and termination
Use can end when the user stops using the service or validly requests account closure. Access may be restricted where necessary to address security risks, unlawful use or material breaches, subject to applicable law and appropriate consideration of the circumstances. Statutory retention obligations and legitimate preservation of evidence may continue after access ends.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
German law applies to the extent a choice of law is permitted. For merchants, legal entities under public law and special funds under public law, the operator’s place of business is the agreed place of jurisdiction where legally permissible. Mandatory protections and mandatory places of jurisdiction remain unaffected.
